Can't add Fault Finder to Trade Platform

I've completed all the new quests, and can make fault finders. I can look through the things to get with them on the trade platform, but I can't attach fault finders to the platform - I've made brand new ones, and also tried using them first before attaching them. I tried packaging and unpacking the trade platform, as well as logging out and back in.

Anyone else experienced this? Am I missing something obvious about attaching them for a trade?

For what it's worth I finally worked this out - you can't just use them once, you have to go through the whole 'collect the shiny things' part each time with all of them. Which is a pain, but I guess makes sense since they're cheap to make. It's just annoying there's no help for this in the game itself.
