Game has Invalid Access to Memory Location, and won't start?
Just got the game yesterday, played it as soon as it downloaded and it's amazing. However, now when I try to launch the game it comes up with the following error:

Couldn't start:
"<.../Binaries/Win64/Astro-Win64-Shipping.exe>" Astro
CreateProcess[] returned 3e6.

So when I go directly to that file location and try to boot it up from that location another error message reads:

"<.../Binaries/Win64/Astro-Win64-Shipping.exe>"
Invalid access to memory location.

I should add that I have my steam files on a Portable Hard Drive because I don't have enough space on my PC, but since I've played many steam games since I moved them there, I don't really think that would be the reason. Anyone able to give me a little more insight on this?

Astroneer won't start if you run it directly by EXE, you have to always launch it from within the steam window.

That's how I started it initially, but it came up with the first error; It was only after that when I tried running the .EXE file directly.

I run Astroneer from a usb 3 flash drive, it doesn't matter where you install it. Since it worked prior, figure out what you did to your computer between then and now and reverse it or turn the program off/uninstall the problem update.

After each one of these try to run the game.
1. Restart your computer.
2. Verify game cache from Steam.
3. Update your drivers.
4. Update Windows.
LAST OPTION: Run a memory check:
Windows 10: press the windows key, type memory, it's the one that says Windows Memory Diagnostic.
Not Windows 10: Download a program called Memtest86, follow the instructions on the website for it because it's much more complicated - it needs a boot disk/flash drive.

It could be an admin or compatibility setting. Check both Steam and game executeables.
