How do you use the Leveling Block?
How is the Leveling Block supposed to be used? I can set it on the ground and activate it, and it puts out a little material. But I don't see a way to change the orientation of the material it puts out (the cube it shows). And what'st he point of it putting out so little material?

there is no way to change the orientation of that block, as it's meant to be true flat (not aligned to gravity, but aligned with the floors of the gateway chambers on the planet).

Maybe the video "True flat terrain mistakes you are making in Astroneer" will help you: https://youtu.be/qeWvkxgJRNs

The entire point of the Leveling Block is that it creates a reference surface aligned to the planetary grid, so you don't want to rotate it - that would defeat its purpose. If you want to create a surface aligned to the local "down" vector, that's what the Alignment Mod attachment for the terrain tool is for.

It creates a reference surface exactly on the voxel grid. You can then use the Flatten function of the terrain tool to extend that surface as you desire.
