But, neither of us are sure what you mean by "change over to the DLC world in the main menu". I'm looking through all the game's menus, even the custom game menus, and not seeing anything that looks like a DLC world toggle.
We did eventually fix the problem, by way of the host setting a custom seed. But, we still have no idea what was actually causing the problem to begin with.
*For someone who has the DLC and needs to complete the missions to get access to the dlc
-You need to complete a few missions that are actually accessible very early in game
-After you complete those missions and port over to the DLC world, you will then have the option to switch between vanilla and dlc. This option is mainly for a player to then start a new dlc playthrough without needing to do those missions again in the vanilla game.
-Any save in the dlc version with have a purplish sterisk next to the save file
Again, the host is the one that NEEDS to have the DLC in order to host. Guests do not need to buy the DLC when joining a game hosted by someone who owns the DLC. The awards (cosmetics) you get when completing all the DLC missions will only be available for the host.
I definitely think there's something broken with the game's map generation.
I reinstalled the game and it seems to have fixed it.
