I was just about to create this post...

People blame this on Multiplayer and whatever, but no. I did it all alone, activated all 7, and nothing happens. People say "simply do it all again", but holy crap! Screw this and screw the devs! Apparently there is nothing you can do, except redo everything.

Hope someone knows a better solution.

You only need to redo the last one. If you can't remember where it was, you can take a shuttle to orbit and you should be able to see it as you orbit. Land at the closest landing spot and go from there.

Redoing the last one does nothing. It opens a rift, and it closes after 5 seconds.

Can confirm, if you redo the last probe you scanned and re-scan it, you can complete the mission.

Note it has to be the last one you scanned, not the last planet. EG for me it was on Calidor.

The little rift opens up and then gets wider at the base, and after a moment an astroneer will become visible. If you only get the regular very thin rift then I'd assume you're at the wrong probe.

Frustrating for sure, but still doable. Hope this helps.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
