Astronium on the new planet

Is there any? Was looking for some for trade platform to get more portable smelters. Been to core and back haven't seen any may have missed it but just wandering.

astronium is found on all planets but VERY deep below ground. like core of planet deep
thankfully the veins are usually massive so bring a resource silo on a tractor and loadup when you do find it

Yea knew that just couldn't find it on the new planet the core is all broken up and hard to traverse just haven't found it yet

It's in the broken up areas mainly, but I found and tapped a source that's on the ceiling. I think the best bet is to setup a train and automate it. I did and don't regret the grind of laying 100 miles of train line as oppossed to driving back and forth every so often. I just hop on the train once in a while when I see that I am not getting a steady supply and reset the thumper and go back up.

Thx for info and thx for train idea I'll have to check that out sounds better than trying to bring a bunch of soil and make a bunch of paths and Roads

Well, you still need to get all the way down there. The best way in my opinion is by large rover with drill and paver and at least 3 FULL soil canisters (I had 4). Even then I had to go back up and refill cause that second level is a looooong way down too. Yes, you still need to run a train line all the way down there, but again, when it's automated, you'll be grateful that you did it.

Yeah thanks for info I already got roads down there using a large Rover I just didn't spot any astronium while I was down there yes I didn't look hard enough haha
