Review of ASTRONEER: Impressive atmosphere, but

The ASTONEERR game really makes an impression! The atmosphere of the game is very exciting: walking through a huge world, exploring it and feeling the importance of each step in a spacesuit is an incredible experience. I literally feel my heart beating as I inhale the last sips of air and try to survive in these conditions.

But there is one significant disadvantage that greatly affects the overall impression of the game - the lack of the opportunity to play with a friend. At the same time, when you explore the world, immerse yourself in the game, you want to have someone next to whom you could share these emotions and experiences. Play itself becomes sometimes boring and lonely, especially when there is a desire to share their discoveries and achievements.

So I want to appeal to the developers: please pay attention to this aspect of the game and add the possibility of multiplayer. This will make the game much more interesting and allow players to enjoy not only the atmosphere, but also joint adventures. Playing together with a friend will add a new level of emotion and interaction that will greatly improve the overall experience.

Well, to be fair. One is not allowed to communicate in-game with a friend with type chat.. I mean, this is 1995 after all and type chat isn't a standard feature for multiplayer games yet.

Fun Fact: Portal 2, with one of it's features being a co-op mode, was released 13 years ago. It does not have text chat. Besides why do you even need it, you can use steam chat or steam voice chat.

Our moaning friend there must not have a microphone, discord or any other comms, it has to be text chat in a game where your keys are being used to move and interact.

Fun fact: Having more ways to communicate, especially with people that can or won't use voip (in whichever form) .... is not a bad thing. There are people with restrictions on voip programs, have disabilities or social anxieties. Or like one of my best gaming buds, is a chick and just does not want to go on mic.
Just because you do not need it, it does not mean others doesn't.

In any case, my pet peeve in this game is rather the cursor not being locked to the screen, rather than the inability to program a simple chat feature.
That luxury feature WAS, in fact, present in pretty much every game I have come across.
