duplicate data circuits
Is it normal to get a bunch of duplicates? So far I've got 2 C1 3 C2 1 C3 1 C5. Just need a C4.

Yes, if this event follows the same pattern as the previous A and B circuit events. In the shot below I have the "B" circuits arranged in order, and it took that many before I got a #5, way down in the corner. There are more #2s off camera. I think they took a clue from all the complaints because it seems a bit more balanced this time. I've received all 5 in about 1/4 of the time. Also, if the pattern holds in the future, it's not necessary to get them all during the event because the game will provide them if necessary in a future update, through missions.

Thank you for the information. I haven't done an event since the Christmas event. I thought we was suppose to get prizes for that event. I never saw any. I ended up getting the A and B circuits on the planets. I did read that they had been available in previous quest. I had stopped playing for a couple of years so I didn't know about the other quest. I'm doing the quest on Xbox and Steam so twice the work.

Now I've got C1, C2, C3, and C5 on Xbox and Steam. I got them almost at the start. I've also got 24 duplicates on Xbox and close to that on Steam. Not sure I'm going to keep going for duplicates to get C4. What do you do with the duplicates?

So far I haven't done anything with the duplicates, from this event or the previous A and B circuit events. They may give scrap, or maybe research bytes, but I haven't tried. I tend to just keep leftover things from the events. I have a save that I use for all of them so have lots of stuff that may never be used. It only took me like 2 minutes to unlock the cosmetics this time because I had a large canister over half full of automatons. After that I continued because some of the rewards are useful, and I enjoy working out how to automate the process. I setup a diamond manufacturing plant and continued until I had a good collection of circuits. The only thing we can't automate is launching of the rocket, at least not that I've figured out.

I've never bothered automation until now. Even now I haven't automated much. I automated soil containers for scrap a while back. Then I planted a few trees to get some carbon. When the event started I just added trees and increased the smelting furnaces to 3. I am filling quite a few medium silos with items from the care packages. I would like to get the C4 circuit on Xbox and Steam.

Automation in this game isn't on the level of factory games, like Satisfactory, but you can do quite a bit with it. If you're just playing the game it doesn't have much use, since you really don't need a lot of anything. But for the events it can change them from hours of tedium to a new challenge. And after playing through the game a number of times it can make the game interesting again.

I've seen Satisfactory. i don't think I'd be interested in that type of game. I'm at the point I'm deciding on whether to build railroads or not. I've been holding off. Now I just want to get the C4 circuit on Xbox and Steam. I'm fixing to load the game and try again. I've most likely spent more time trying to get it than if I was to wait and get it in the wild when I actually need it.
