How much power train use?
It says 10 but it can't be true. I have way more power available but still I get low power warning.

I have 32 small batteries fully charged, supported by power generator. It's 41 output and the only power consumers in the base are 3 labs. It's 3x2 power so I still have 35 available.
Also if I disable labs for testing and there is literally nothing running in the whole base, it does not help.

When I disconnect 1 engine from train, then it works correctly. No low power warning. In this case power usage of train drops to 7. So it seems that for train is supplied no more then 9, regardless of how much power is available in the whole base.

Is something else using power that is not documented? Idle machines? Lights?
Or maybe the issue is power flow? Something like one battery is charging another and this another is charging something else and in fact I have less power available then I think I should have?

When I disconnected 1 cart instead of engine and power usage dropped to 9, it also works correctly, without power warnings. Also when I connected small battery directly to rails, it solved the issue.

So it seems that power flow is messed up.

Have you tried a splitter to control what power goes where and to also see how much power you are generating in the first place? Your issue seems really weird and I was just wondering if there really is a power flow issue and where it stems from.

Each small battery provides 1 power. If all are fully charged, 32 batteries should provide 32 power total. There is some more power sources like shelter and such but it does not matter.

If nothing is draining power then all should be available for train. Well, at least in the real world. Apparently it works another way in this game.

I didn't try splitters. I have all power sources in one place. I would need to redesign the whole base. Simpler solution was to connect 2 batteries directly to rails.

I think it's just buggy. I've run tracks around a planet and connected enough power sources to run it. I can go most of the way around no problem, but there will be a section where I often get a low power warning and the train slows down. Charging batteries is also buggy. For such a simplistic electrical system it seems it should be more solid.
