VR support would be amazing

Just wanted to say, it would be a game changer for Astroneer to add VR support. It is *perfectly* suited for it.

I played it on a friend's PC and enjoyed it, but don't really want to purchase it myself without VR support.

It would open up the game to an entire new audience, and the sooner they start, the less work it would be in the long-run since they could develop VR support in parallel to the base game.

I know it's still early days, but I really hope they consider it long-term.

It does sound fun and yes VR would be perfect for this game but they either have to redo the game in first person or figure out how you play VR in third person. Theres just to much to manage for them to take the base game and just put you in a first person version.

VR in 3rd person should work fine, right? Any other games do that, or have a workable 3rd person view?

All you need is a shred of imagination to see how 3rd person could work just fine in VR. It's really too bad so many users and developers are lacking in that regard, or otherwise have a hardon for first person for some mind-boggling reason. Even without VR it's an inferior POV for anything besides shooters, and even then only when looking down ironsights.
