What can we do with it? Wiki says nothing.

There is a device that nobody ever uses (The medium generator).... it's more useful now. It used to burn coal for power. Now it burns carbon. It's in the list before the solar panel. Handy for powering your base at night. Provides more power than a small generator.

especially since power cells ( my only power sources for everything in last patch) are now from zinc..... basically useless now.... i had my big rover train and just pit stop at compounds to make a dosen of those ...

Check any wrecks you find, I found a wreck with half a dozen batteries attached to it.

I think its now really hard to get tungsten because to get it you need to be on the two planet types, which I am not, or trade post which is made of tungsten. Its a catch 22. So I got the medium gen just now for nothing.

If you're looking to trade scrap you need to go offworld as well since the scrapper needs iron.

The medium gen is particularly useful now since you can create organics with the extractor basically for free and smelt the organics into carbon. After the first few minutes you'll never need to worry about clay, organics, compound, resin, or quartz.
