Searching for Astronium

In the outer core layer, I've been searching for astronium in the floor. It seems so hard to find those, do you guys have some tips on how to search astronium deposits?
I do not like what I have on the ceiling..

auto extractors, rail stations, rail posts and junctions, and certain platforms (the extended ones and the extra large platforms) can all be attached to walls and ceilings, making it all possible to be automated.

As for actual searching? no, I don't have tips on that, sorry.

Yep, I know how to automate it. Just want to know where should I look to find astronium deposits.

Only tip I have is that you can use the terrain tool and filled soil canisters and start placing ground on those pillar things with its own gravity to create ground to walk on so you could reach the parts on the ceiling without having to dig toward them.

I usually build a medium or large rover, throw on a drill, medium soil canister and build tunnels just above the core layer. Bring a resource canister too and load it full of any astronium I find, theres many ways to go about it, just be sure to explore the correct layer.

Wait, you mean you dig around just above the core layer? So basically, astronium is found on the ceiling of the outer core layer???

I always find plenty looking around in the lowest cave layer, just above the core. Might be high on the walls.

I meant, I was scraping around the ground of core layer. Then I saw that someone imply the astronium is at CEILING of the core layer.

@abab9579 - it's SUPER easy if you unlocked the core, walk from the core to the CEILING, look for Astronium on the CEILING. Some of it you can grab right from there, then dig through, I got full backpack in like 2 minutes after teleporting to the Sylva core. You don't really need Astronium for the byte farm though, you can just research/renew a single Scrap the same way (it's 295 bytes).

Wait, that (walking from core to ceiling) works??? Wow!

really, if you want a byte farm, atmospheric resources can be researched, 1/5 full container has the same value as 5/5 full container, so it could be automated with an atmospheric condenser, auto arm, and research chamber, as well as 23 U/s of power to keep all 3 at full speed

As for Astronium, other than the EXO exchange, it can be traded on the trade platform for EXO Chips, Packagers, solid fuel jump jets, Dynamite, and Hydrazine. (you have to press down arrow, s or click the down thing on the ui when inspecting it to access that)

Uhm, it seems like I cannot walk on ceiling coming from the core. The gravity resets once I transitions to ground.. Still found valuable astronium deposit on the floor of the outer core layer.

the following screenshot shows what I mean, as gravity would otherwise be normal, and yes, i held down the alt key to start ground from the spire, though I had to use a jetpack to get far enough from the spire for gravity to normalize.

Admittedly, I am not under an astronium deposit, but it shows you could do this.
