Backpack despawns?
I got stuck in the core of a planet with no way to get out without suffocating so before i go commit die i wanted to know if the backpack despawns or does it just stay?

Your backpack will stay, but if you die again before you get this first one the backpack will despawn and a new one will remains. So be very carefull to not die before you get this first backpack on planet core. Go slowly and safe.

In this case if you drop the itens on floor is YES they will be safe. Despawn is only for packpack with itens inside.

Better off on the floor, if it will stay (gravity is so odd in there, it might float somewhere else). Having died in the core - your backpack will NOT be in the core, the items will be randomly outside the core - good luck finding them.

I got stuck in a core because the game glitched me INTO the platform. I couldn't even die as I was tethered to my tractor. Another player was kind enough to come into my game and blow us both up (he tried to get me out, but then also got glitched into the platform). I have never found the items we both lost due to that, but I had never died by being blown up, so maybe that's why? That and I don't want to go anywhere near that planet core after that! But I have died in a core before and found my items randomly outside, just lying on the ground.

Are you stuck in a way that someone could join your game and help you?

yes i could be saved if another person helped, im only stuck because my rover glitched out and is invisible or something and the trailer of the rover is the only thing giving me oxygen so if i had somebody come down with some tethers i could get out safely

What I do for planet cores is park a large rover on the layer just above the core, with an oxygenator slotted on its chassis. Then I'll find one of the access swirls or whatever you want to call them, and build a tether line from the rover down along the swirl and onto the core itself. Driving your rover actually into the core is, in my experience, a much worse idea and will almost certainly mean your rover is stuck down there.

On the right there is how I set up my rover for going into the core. Bring plenty of tethers. Soil canister isn't really necessary, not unless you're drilling/paving as well. Could be a medium storage with utility items or whatever you want. Second RTG and battery also aren't strictly necessary, but I like to pretend this game is more difficult than it is.

I find the best way to the core is: tractor, drill straight down until you fall into it, activate, pack everything up, teleport out. Fast, simple, everything comes out with you. 😉 There's no reason you can't have your rover around the core, just don't take it in - it does NOT drive out well. If you do drive it in - winches are your friend! But a tether line to find the right tendril out is KEY as the thing can spit you out 360 degrees.
