Cant get Barrier Buster Achievement, Help?

Ive put a strength 1 drill on the front of a tractor and just dug down, no luck. I then tried a medium rover with the drill on the front and back and just went straight down on Atrox until the rock got too hard, still nothing. I tried putting the drill on a crane (I know it wont work but I still tried it). Do I need a better drill against harder rock? will it only work if attached to a large rover? what am i missing?

haha I just restarted the game and steam and I got it. :/ lol
