True
Here are a few ideas for them -
1. Introduce alien races that start to travel through the system
2. Introduce a new scanner tool that allows the discovery of new planets, comets, asteroids, and 'abandoned' space cruisers and ships.
3. Have alien creatures roaming the new planets
4. Craft story lines
5. Add RPG elements including NPC's and a list of tasks that need to be accomplished
6. Add routine projects such as trading, farming, recon work, transporting materials
7. Add Alien command bases - either moons, spacestations or large cruisers
8. Have the battle between these alien races to be material or research based and multiplayer involves players being split between them so there is a stats monitored race between players as to which alien race does the best
The research tree for this need not be things that a player actually uses, but maybe after 10 tree progresssions a spacestation module is unlocked for example.
9. Add regular comets that fly through the system - only certain resources can be collected from them during this time window
10. Add new technologies that are only available from alien ships flying through the systems on preset routes.
11. Add interplanetary navigation - going from planet to moon to planet can be automatic, as is, but to connect to a spaceship needs to be more challenging, so manual flight
12. Add a new rocket that has docking ports
13. Add the ability to create a spacestation
14. Introduce a whole collection of spacestation modules so players have the ability to have fun and live in space rather than on planet / moon surfaces
15. Have space anomalies
16. Enable mulitplayer AI, so people like myself can play against the computer
...Wait a minute, you're asking them to make a no man's sky wannabe!
I agree with the video in which more contents should be added (as in more planets and stuff) but I don't think it should be similar to another game. Astroneer has its own uniqueness and i think the devs should continue adding content in the same fashion instead of introducing overused concepts from other games.
Nope. They can create this stuff in their own unique way.
I'm not a No Man's Sky fan.
Ultimately the Devs need to introduce new content and expand their vision of the game as new games are arriving on the scene which will overtake their market share, unless this is done.
