Astropedia doesn't tell me what resources refine into what?
Hello. :) I notice the astropedia will tell me basically everything else about the game but I'm not sure where to find what resources refine into what? It's not on the refined resources page.

I'm getting a little tired of having to google this since it breaks up gameplay too much so wanted to ask if there's something I'm missing.

I also have poor eyesight, sometimes extensive menus confuse me. (I appreciate most of astroneer's simple menus for this reason lol.) Sorry if this is obvious.

So there's no way to view this info in-game?

Because my question was about specifically NOT having to navigate a semi-cumbersome wiki just to find out how the devil I make small batteries.

After trawling the semi-cumbersome wiki for my answer though, I find out that I actually CAN'T make them on Sylva, but I could've sworn my friends and I had them before. So there go some research points, I guess.

Gee it would've been nice to conveniently look up if I even had access to that material without having to tab out.

So I guess my answer is "There is none, get ♥♥♥♥♥♥." Fantastic.

Side-note but in both being too lazy to just google optimal strategies and being annoyed at wasting 2000 points, I just hooked a bunch of wind turbines and a generator I found up to a tractor and am activating the nodes that way. This is probably the most memeworthy brute force answer for how to do this but, oh well.

I guess you'd have to discover them gradually if you'd prefer not to check out the wiki. The other way is to open the steam overlay in-game, click browser and open the wiki page.

Material popups tend to tell you what they smelt into. Like "Organic. Carbon material." or "Quartz. Glass material" or "Laterite. Aluminum material". Similarly, refined resource all have reverse popups. "Ceramic. Refined clay."
But in case you have neither, it's just quartz->glass, clay->ceramic and organic->carbon. Metal ores don't have a use on their own, so they aren't hard to remember.
And chemistry lab has a recipe list, complete with prerequisites.

Apart from universally found resources, you can't really check out planet-specific minerals and their products from the in-game guide as it didn't mention what resource is smelted into what. The only way to know without checking the wiki is to travel to the planet itself and mine the resources. I think that's what troubles OP.

New player here.
Wiki is great.
Sill disappointing the resource tree is not in the game along side the element table and planet list.

There is a resource tree and planet list. Press ESC in-game and choose the astropedia tab. You can find the tab in the main menu too.

For some people, any documentation is a spoiler.
