any one else's auto extractor just... stop even though there is tonnes of resources still there, and 2 rtgs powering it?

If the slots it can fill or the bar on the Auto Extractor is completly black it stops. That is normal behaviour.

Replace the storage you want to fill with a new empty one or pick the Extractor up and put it down again.

• Make sure extractor is plugged in to power and turned on.
  
• Make sure it has storage to output to. Personally I like to store into a large canister with auto arms.
  
• Every time the green bar on the side of an extractor runs down, you have to pick up the extractor and put it back down to reset it. The main cost of extraction is your time doing this.
  
• Look for a rich PURE deposit. Before you invest too much effort in that site, assess its quality. Move around an extractor to see the spots where the green bar is highest. If you can't get the green bar to be near full, then the deposit is not very good, and you should package the extractor and go try other deposit sites. A bad site means you'd have to reset the green bars every five minutes to keep it running. Some deposits look huge but are thin.
  
• A painful problem is when the deposit is impure, which might not be visible on the surface. Get one extractor running and see which resource it pulls up. If it pulls up the wrong resource, you're best bet is to move on to another deposit.
  
• You can place everything on a vertical wall or even a ceiling.
  
• I'm tending to an extractor site now with 7 extractors all feeding into one large canister. It only takes 25 minutes to fill it because...

ah, i had no idea pure areas extisted as ive never ever found a site that gets that green bar more than an inch filled, on surface or underground i guess im just unlucky...

so much for auto lol...
