Alignment mod and flatten tool is a lie
If anyone can tell me what to do to avoid this, please do.

Never can make a flat base area using flatten tool even with alignment mod, always has some absurd 10 degree angle, and changes ruining my entire base area when I try to re-flatten.

550+ hours since v0.8.0, 50+ hours in this save, at least 1 hour working on the FLOOR alone with 3 attempts to fix it using alignment mod, and this is the best I can do:

Meanwhile, my friend (with half the experience) made a perfectly flat base in 3-4 minutes

It aligns to the actual 3d grid of space, which means it only works perfectly on the poles and at four specific points around the equator.

also as the curvature of these insanely small planets is quite noticable you will never look right outside of the previously mentioned places

yeah, alignment mod basicaly reads the length of the radius to the center of the planet and maiuntains that as you move around. It should theoretically make a perfect sphere if you covered the entire surface without letting go of mouse button. Problem is, as soon as you let go of mouse button, it re-reads that value and all the angles change. The actual flattening mode without a mod makes a flat plane across a sphere, so eventually you will have a flat plane floating above the surface of the planet.

I suggested to the devs to have a radius value lock on the alignment mod with a number you could manually enter so one could theoretically make a perfect sphere without having to hold lmb for eternity. this way you could keep a good curve to the planet while having a single, consistent surface for a base, but they didnt say no, they just pretended I didnt say anything, 5 times. One of my issues with the devs is when I ask something they dont like or understand, rather than have a discussion, they assume their community is too stupid for the discussion and ghost you

Yeah I just started playing and could already see this seems to be their modus operandi.

You're not an iNfLuEnCeR with hundreds of thousands of autistic tweens hanging on your every word so your feedback doesn't matter. They've been like this ever since launching out of SEA. Maybe even from around the time Paul passed away.

I remember having issues with this.. It's an OCD nightmare, and one of the reasons I haven't gotten back into the game.
