i've seen people who wanted more ways to support the game and it's development post-launch
this is that.
Assuming you're right, it's the developer's fault, not the consumer. SES has giving you four years of free updates for all new in-game content from a broken, pre-alpha game to a multiplayer version for $20. They could have abandoned this game at any point in competition of any game like Minecraft, No Man's Sky, Subnautica, etc.
TL;DR actually wait until you see how SES takes this new approach to a skin shop before you rebuke a new developer for trying to get extra money for no in-game incentive.
If all you want is a single visor colour that’s 100 QBITS you have to buy the 500 pack that’s a predatory transaction to get people to overspend and it wrong no matter how you look at it. If the items just had a $ amount to pay for them I wouldn’t be complaining.
I agree, the system is not good and tbh is just a copy of fortnite if you look at the layout. If SES needs money, increase the price of the game or put out a DLC. Increasing the price by a few dollars will not really change how many people buy the game, but it will make quite a bit more money.
