Platforms - how to rid them?

I have some small platforms and want to upgrade my base via larger ones. But how to scrap or destroy old platforms?

Repackage them for building a base on another planet?

Or

Dig a hole, drop them in, smooth over.

Just scrap them unpackaged if you want to destroy them, or as mentioned package them up and take them somewhere else. The small platforms are great for getting started on new planets

Unpacked platforms don't actually fit inside the Large Shredder. We really need an Extra Large Shredder. I'd also like an Extra Extra Large Shredder, one that could take even the largest objects, as I have my old small shuttle lying around that I'd love to dispose of.

Or you know, they could just let us shred packaged items.

My advice would be to do it on Atrox, because that is the only ugly planet in my opinion, you’d probably be doing it a favor
