Any way to "save" a game hosted by someone and host it yourself ?
Any way ? Is the world saved somehow in a file when i join someone ?

I want to host a game save that was hosted by someone else, any way to do that ?

With my friends we share the saved games, we have 3 different "universes" and we share the save game in Discord and we use it when someone can not play. You will become the character that was originally used by the host, and you will have all items from the original host, so it is advisable to everyone empty the entire inventory whenever you want to share a saved game :cozybethesda:

Not as far as I'm aware.
You could ask the host to make the save available (via any cloud storage service) to the other players so they can grab it themselves though you'd very likely only want it available when not playing in case live saves have issues with that.
Also, I can't say how the "host player" is stored/saved within those save files so any "client" who loaded up a copy of the original save _may_ end up "becoming" the host when running the save locally with no ability to join as "themselves" like they would when the host is hosting (I'd be quite interested in the results if anyone were to test/try it)

It all relies on how you want to do it. But personally I would ask the host if you can get his or her savegame and have a good discussion about how and why. Also, keep in mind that the host may decided to not share the savegame with you.

Could be something fun to do with the Workshop... publish a saved game, so others can play from where you published (in the event you built something really cool you wish to easily share).
