"Twas my first time on core level; tractor train is stuck in weird terrain (because I drilled through the ceiling), digs the terrain aaaaaaaaaaaand an exploder was hiding there. That wasn't fun to retrieve.
I've had to modify my play style for this game. In the prior versions -- with the smattering of resources seen everywhere -- you could build a base on one world and then only go to others for exploring/fun/expansion.
But now post 1.0, the goal seems to be getting into space ASAP and finding the other resources elsewhere.
The desert world has tons of copper everywhere, and since aluminum/ammonia is easy to get (and that the solid fuel booster is good for a two-way trip), there's no reason to not just pop over, stuff 2-3 medium cargo storages full of ore and then return to wherever you've decided to set up your main base.
