Desolo sucks
Took first trip out in shuttle, landed in Desolo like guide says. Lots of debris everywhere, otherwise kinda lame. Is there a more fun planet recommended to land and set up ship to get better minerals? Desolo Sucks.

You might want to look at the wikia site or some of the guides for what each planets have. Some are smaller and easier than others. Desolo is one of the easiest but has resources you need that isn't on Sylvan.

Novus is kind of fun, Calidor has massive caves, and Glacio is mostly flat. But probably better to return to Sylva until you've been to each planet.

Also planet info is in the game menu so you can quickly see what resources each planet has without having to be in space.

Yup, desolo is just a grey, empty version of Novus
Well Desolo has better resources but it's TRASH, go to calidor for and glacio, don't forget your drill mod like i did and kill that world.
And power, don't forget POWER.

I Disagree i wouldnt want them to Change it ( other then the Crashes) this is how a Real moon would look lots of caves and holes every where, its nice to feel like im alone and on a Real moon now i havent seen the other planets so im not sure what the devs are trying to do with this game yet but found what i am understanding its make you feel like an Astronut

Why would there be caves? There is no air and no water for erosion. The game also does a terrible impression of the moon with only 1 sound changing to reflect vacuum, plus the fact that they were too lazy to actually remove wind and plants from the moon.

You're gonna love novus if you think desolo sucks.

Yeah, I always go to Calidor, then Novus, and then Vesania for my resource runs after Sylva. The only good thing about Desolo is that you can pick up a LOT of good junk on the surface, small batteries, solar and wind, etc. Usually a lot of wrecks too. Anything else, you have to dig for on that moon, at least two or three levels down.

I decided to head to Vesania since the wiki listed lithium as Vesania's "primary". Not being able to make batteries was really busting my balls.

So now I have a ton of lithium, and stable power grid without manually babying a perma-generator off of the soil centrifuge. Feels good man. Go Batteries.

So now I need malachite and wolframite and hematite. Is Calidor "the shizzle" for easy malachite?

How accurate is the wiki for planetary resources? Does "primary" mean there's a lot of it, and "secondary" means there's also a lot of it? Or does "secondary" mean deeper? Wtf does "secondary" mean? I've roamed a lot over Sylvus and barely found any malachite, either on the surface or deep underground with the laterite. Am I just unlucky with getting Sylva malachite?

Each planet (except Atrox) has 2 non universal resources (universal resources are resources that can be found on all planets) they are listed as primary and secondary (because if there is something this game is good at is being confusing) it seems that primary resources are found underground while secondary ones are found on some surface biomes (as well as deeper underground).

Malachite can be found on the mountains and deep underground (mushroom forest or deeper)
Calidor is "the shizzle" for easy Wolframite, Malachite can be found underground but in my experience it is easier to get it on Sylva.

Having the vehicle drills makes travelling around much, much easier. Slower at times but much easier.

I have formally named my savegame file, "Desolo Sux." Sparkly.

Desolo is mainly for tungsten which I believe you can get on Calidor if I remember right which is a much more interesting planet. The only reason to go to Desolo now is the big purple.

Edit: Wait, isn't there a gas on Desolo that's nowhere else. gah I can't rememeber.
