Core Help

So I'm having this issue on two planets so far. I've unlocked Sylva and its moon. I went to Calidor to begin the unlocking process there. I've unlocked a surface gateway, made my way to the core and it's still shielded. Am I missing something?

I then went back to the surface, unlocked an additional gateway to make sure, teleported between the two I've unlocked to doubly make sure, made my way back to the core and still it remains shielded.

So I thought maybe it was bugged? Went to Vesania, same thing. I unlocked a surface gateway, fiddled with the node, made my way to the core and it also is shielded.

I figured each planet was the same, unlock surface gateway, place special resource, profit.

Every planet SHOULD be the same. This is a bug, and a pretty serious one at that.

Oh no. This game was infuriating me as it was with getting stuck on nothing, the rovers flipping over every size particle imaginable. Ugh.

Did you check ALL of the shield ? Not to be 'that; guy, but the gate only unlocks a section of the shield.

I ran around each side but not the bottom. I'll angrily go back and check, lol.

I've never seen ANY part of the shield remain once a single surface gate was unlocked.

Me neither. It unlocks the entire shield when you unlock a surface gateway.

Oof. Ok! I haven't logged back in to check. I'm just going to say it's bricked. :(

I really didn't want to start over but I guess I have to.

Does anyone know anyone else who had this problem?

I haven't played in a while but yeah, in the 1.0 release shields had 6 segments for the 6 gate engines on the surface... I just had a little go and now there is a fence around the core and the huge shield is gone.

There have been weirdnesses, like gates being double spawned... but I was able to open the core even when that happened.

Nope, the shield is one big piece, it opens the entire thing. Even in 1.0

I just ran into the same problem on Vesania. Unlocked a node on the surface and the shield is still up at the planets core. Not sure if the harder planets require more nodes or if this is just a crippling glitch. If it's a glitch, just basically bricked my game.

I actually got the shield to unlock, essentially what happened was the node was unlocked only using 2 of the 3 electrical plugs at the surface gateway. I went back and made sure all 3 electrical plugs had power running into them and it created a second node that ended up lowering the shield. So I guess the glitch is sort of the node being able to be created with less than 3 of the plugs having power running to them while unlocking the gateway. Not sure if this is the same problem other people had, but maybe it can help others unlock the planets core. Hope this helps.

never ran into this issue myself, but then again i've always charged the gates via ONE plug not multiple. so that could be causing the issue for all we know.

I used 2 plugs long ago, but for my most recently playthrough I only ever used 1 plug at a time. Everything went fine.

Is there anything what i can do to fix this situation, i have same problem with Vesania. Gateway Chamber activated, but i dont find or have core. Only stoney pink terrain.
