Went away for lunch. Came back to find red lanterns with tassels on all my tethers. COOL!

I would be much happier about goofy deco on tethers if the tethers actually worked, producing ambient light. Expecting easter eggs on my tethers when the time come... can we get the lighting back to working, though?

My guess would be that was removed to improve overall performance of the game (calculating light emission / shadows as I understand it, is one of the more computationally expensive processes). That said, perhaps provide the player preference setting to switch on/off so they can decide whether to have displayed.

See, I think the opposite to the OP. I'd like to have the option to disable seasonal content so that I can get rid of the silly tether lanterns.

Except tether ambient lighting is not removed, it just stops working in some cases.
