Splitter interface
So i made a splitter, i have power coming in on slot 2. i have stuff that needs power on both line 1 and line 2. i cant get the splitter to output any power. I open the interface, and ive tried to click everything but it just closes. how do i turn on the outputs?

There's omnidirectional power (solid yellow power line) and there's bidirectional power (yellow line has arrows).

The Rovers, Extenders, and Splitters all have directional power, so if you want power OUT of the splitter, you have to select the connector at the splitter and connect it to the thing you want, if you want power to into the splitter, you select the connector of the other thing and then connect it to the splitter.

IN: <Base component> --> <Splitter>
OUT: <Splitter> --> <Base component>

Have you used the right input ? There is one input and two outputs.

i thought you can also use it to combine 2 inputs into a single output from what i read? it seemed to be based on which way you connect it. if you connect it to something creates a output if you connect something to it it makes it a input thanks :)

Depends on direction of flow of power. Check the cables visually to see which direction power is going.
