Rotate large base modules?
The hologram for the vehicle bay was a little misleading, I have a large baseplate inches from my base and now the vehicle hologram is inside the main base building. Am I able to move or rotate the vehicle bay now that it's placed down?

Yes, disconnect its power connector and pick it up and use Z or X to rotate it. All platforms and items rotate like that. I don't know what it is on console/controller.

Being able to move plarforms is great. So many ways to maximise efficiency and convenience, depending on the task at hand.

I traveled to a new planet and found a big base plate with some attachment points, I placed the vehicle bay on it the wrong way around, being it not on a baseplate I can't rotate it, any other way to remove it/rotate it?

Just remove the attachments and rotate the whole platform. Or what exactly is the issue?

I believe he placed a vehicle bay the wrong way on an abandoned landing pad.

I must have been distracted when I read it initially. You're right, that's most likely what they meant.
In that case only dynamite MIGHT help to remove it. That's about the only way.
Although I would not recommend making use of those platforms right now anyway.

Why not?

Because once you detach them from the terrain, you cannot fix them in place anymore.

This thread was discussing early access, devices can now be freely rotated and moved between platforms and vehicles, and the keys are redefinable.
