So no.
Now, got an answer to the question?
Creative is the mode you play after finishing the game's story mode. That's all you have, that's all you get once you've opened all the gates and called for the rescue ship. For a average person that might take 40 hours after the artifical difficulty was added to the game a couple patches ago.
When the game first went gold you could finished it in 10 hours and play as sandbox mode(people complained about no content so they added terrain 2.0).
Then they increased the power requirements for gates, etc, adding terrain 2.0 and now it takes 40 hours. Terrain 2.0 added 20 hours to the game to finish as it's now a nightmare to traverse. No more fun than it as before but now they can brag how long it takes to open gates, 40 hours now boys, whoop. <--no.
This game has much wasted potential.
I did find this: https://www.wemod.com/cheats/astroneer-trainers
..but I have no idea how well it works or how legit the creator of such is.
Other than that your only option would be to get down and dirty with using CheatEngine and figuring it out on your own. Taking precautions in the future and backing up your save files elsewhere might also be a good idea.
On that note, it would be nice if they'd support modding of the game as it would drastically increase replayability and customization of the game and I do believe they'd find popularity of the game would increase as a result.
Supporting Steam Cloud would be a nice bonus I guess but honestly I tend not to trust Steam Cloud with many of my game's save files as it is known to be 'problematic' from time to time (and there have been cases in the past where I personally have had it cause issues) and I prefer having direct control.
Sadly, that trainer would remove most of the challenge and game from the game, but it's worth a look.
Running out of oxygen is a major part of the game loop, for example.
MY ideal would be a way of spawning in a stack of the rare resources, so i could climb the tech tree quickly while preserving the basics, but i'll give it a go.
