Other than the backpack issue, I'm still not seeing any benefit of the medium t platform vs medium platform A.
I guess my main gripe is cost. For two items that are virtually identical in function, I don't understand why 1 requires 2 plastic and the other just 2 resin.
On the other hand, you reach a point in the game were cost is not worth worrying about because you have 10,000,000 units of everything and nothing to build.

Many pieces of equipment you can make are totally useless in virtually all gameplay situations, and feel like they were designed by staff who've never played the game before. The only reason you'd ever build one is if you were trying to do something quirky or fun with them.
Keep in mind that the game is still underdevelopment and some if not all of those "useless" items are or may be ground work for future content
