Create a self sustained carbon powered vehicle

Power is created by a medium generator (3U's) only. You have to collect your fuel moving forward so there would be a drill on the front to gather soil. This is processed on the vehicle by a centrifuge into Organics. Then smelted into Carbon and stored until being burned by the generator(s).

Putting all this on one large rover is possible, but you would run out of power often due to the lack of storage (like operating a 80,000 pound tractor trailer using a half gallon fuel tank). You'll need enough power to run the centrifuge (4U's) , smelter (3U's), drill bit (1U) and drive wheels (1U).

cant you cut out the centrifuge and try to focus on drilling over organic material on the surface? the extra storage would mean you could stock up and maybe keep a repacked centrifuge for emergencies.
