Lack of content
I've spent almost 900 hours in Astroneer. Have done it all (biggest bases, huge soil collection vehicles, complete mobile bases and half of this on multiplayer (which is horribly bugged). All of a sudden I just stopped playing and moved to another game due to lack of content. There just isn't anything to do.

Sure you can waste hours to find the elusive lunar lander, but to what end? To get a new palette?? You've got to be kidding! Where's the content?

If it takes you hours to find the lander then something is wrong with you. LOL! I stopped playing and started playing Empyrion. Holy cow what an addiction.

I made a good friend on Astroneer. We spent several hundred hours playing together, but grew tired of rovers flying into space and getting kicked off the game with no way to get back online again. The developers didn't seem to care to fix this, so we moved on.

We started playing Lord of the Rings Online. A "free to play" game that was designed from the ground up to be multiplayer without all the bugs in Astroneer.

Ive just about gotten to that point too, but that's when I found the alternate start saves which have stretched it a little further for starting a new game and having the main base be on a different planet. More new starting options and story scenarios like this would be nice. I'm just about done with them and the end is looming.

Ive tried a bunch of other space/scifi type building games, but nothing that fills the spot this one does.

I used to play another sandbox sci-fi game called "Planet Explorers". It had a storyline quest mode that was nice. It also allowed you to build any type of craft that you could imagine. Like a 12 wheeled rover or a broomstick that flies - lol

i mean, i played the early access 10 times as much in a year as i played the 1.0+ since it launched. they made the planets less interesting, the caves are boring and MORE repetitive, fewer hazards except more terrain glitching and I still cant play with my friend for more than half an hour before it cascades into glitches that kill us and make dirt reappear. in fact the terrain glitches were much milder in the early access for us in multiplayer where we could go for 20-30 hours sometimes before it got too glitchy. since we liked building crazy things out of dirt, supposedly the whole point of the game until certain people took over creativity, its now kind of pointless and Im going to try and enjoy NMS since its getting a big update in a couple days that should be awesome for multiplayer and may convince me to get a VR setup. if anyone knows where you can still download early access version of astroneer that would be neat since it seems the old way of getting older versions doesnt exist anymore. i more than got my money worth of course, but theres just nothing for me in the new version except a burrito that i care less about every day

No game offers content beyond 300 hours. You are at 900. Shut the ♥♥♥♥ up.

Subjectively, after 900h I think you'd exhaust almost all non-PvP games by several times. So there really isn't anything to say about that. The fact that you made it to 900h is already speaking volumes on it's own.

Lets not be rude. Some people have different mindsets about how long a game should entertain them.

Sandbox means unlimited hours. Unlimited ways of playing. Just for a second respect others rights to opinions.

I think the point of the thread is that there was supposed to be new content coming, right? Post-burrito stuff

This company hasn't seen fit to fix things such as, Planet: No atmosphere, high winds.

It's a joke really to expect anything from that company.

If you call hooking up with other steam players "Multiplayer, no it's not fixed". If you mean multiplayer servers, who knows. "No atmosphere, high winds" pretty much explains it all.
