No one can really tell you how smooth it will be, though. The game still lacks a lot of optimization.
As for the settings, it hardly matters. It's low-poly, the difference between the lowest and the highest settings isn't earth shattering. Mostly a matter of shaders and some effects.
but what about the ram?
im not gonna upgrade it soon. i just want to know if it worth buying it to enjoy good frame rate and graphics
The store Page states the minimum requirements. It states that you require 4GB of RAM. That means 4GB of available RAM. Since your operating system and other background apps will be using at least half of your RAM, you do not have enough available RAM if 4GB is all you have.
Your system will be forced to write to a page file on your hard drive as virtual memory. This may lead to performance degradation.
That said.. if you have a 4gb vram 580 + i5 3340 and only 4gb of ram.. it does sound like an old pc upgraded to a really new gpu.. which is not a great idea, could have bought a whole pc for the price of that gpu. That worked better overall.
Whats worse, is the gpu will likely be underpowered, because the motherboard and psu will likely not have the throughput the gpu requires to run efficiently.
Basically like putting a Tank engine into a City Car.. The 4gb memory is going to be a terrible bottleneck as well, minimum ideal ram is 12. The 3340 can support 1333/1600 mhz ram.
I'd really want to know what the psu is, what it's rail output is and if he's got a secondary power support plugged into the Rx inside the case.
I'd add another 8gb ram using a 2x4gb pack asap. This will free up compacted resources, virtual memory etc.
As grapple says, 4gb of free available ram is needed, you'll be using around 2.5-2.9 of that for your o/s & drivers. So you essentially have 1 gb of ram.. and 1 gb of vram.. and you'll be using 3-4gbs of virtual, which is limited by your hard drive speed and availability.
Nothing wrong with this, it's edging towards minimum spec. The falldown in your pc is Win7 and a 1gb vram gpu. Eventually you'll find it impossible to play Dx11.1+ games so you will need to upgrade within the next 1-2 years. You won't be able to play any Dx12 games. Which is the current avg version.
I'd guess your ram is 1333/1600 and you're probably using an i5 mid level cpu.
