This soloution works but it is not really a soloutuion.
Is there no .ini setting we can apply to force a certain audio device.
This is the only game I have played where I have to disconnect the headset :-(
I have done manual stop on occulus services so the headset is not even fuctioning yet Astro still wants to use it?

google it if the link is censored, used it for a few years now for multiple things, my wifi card likes to crash my internal hubs, so I can restart them from the app rather than restart the PC.
It usually happens when I go to stream and forget to switch to headset from speakers. I have to close Astroneer, then change sound output, then relaunch the game.
