Game ignores steam language setting

Hi.
I'm living in austria, so my native language is german. However, I prefer to play games in their original language, so my steam is set to english. Austroneer seems to ignore that and still start in german by default. Is there a way to fix this ?

You will have to change your Windows language setting as well, not just steam.

I went to Control Panel, Lanaguge.

Under 'Change your language preferences', I already have English (United States)' set as the primary language. The 'Windows display laugnage' says 'Enabled' on that page.

And, by the way, no way to choose the language in-game? If you have several languages ready, making them choosable at the player's whim is such a basic requirement that I never considered that it might not be available.
So, please, correct that in the next update? Thanks!

Same here. Downloaded the language pack, rebooted, double checked. Still German...

Please add an ingame option.

No, there's no in-game option for languages.

My windows language is set to english. It seems the game chooses it's language based on the loction settings, not the language.

same problem here. Complete english windows 10 and also steam. Still game decides german for me.

ugh, major turn-off... played the windows store 1hr demo last night and language was auto-set to german. I really didn't like it, I play all my games in english and I'd like to be able to choose by myself.

Temporary Workaround for In-Game Language Issue on WIN10:

GOTO Windows Settings -> Time & Language -> Region & Language
CLICK ON Additional date, time & regional settings
CLICK ON Change Location
SELECT Format: English(country of your choice)
CLICK ON Apply, OK
RESTART Astroneer
ENJOY
