Destroy entire planet or moon?

So we've seen a planet cut in half.

How about removing it entirely? Anyone done this yet?

Me and a friend managed to carve away the crust of the planet. Took forever. I'm sure you can do it.

There are some things that you won't beable to get rid of, like items, plants, rovers, and buildings.

You technically can remove the entire terrain of the planet, but it's as HungryBanker said, there are things that you cannot remove. Eventually those things will just drop and collect in the middle of the (no longer existent) planet. Or so I assume. I never tried it myself, but I think the entity defining the planet, thus the gravity, won't cease to exist (yet).
