Getting the key from the sink

I have the coat hanger and every time I try to use it to fish the 'shiny' out of the kitchen sink it just keeps telling me that theres no where to hang it... Am I doing this wrong? So frusterating.

Lol I did. I restarted the game to 'try again' and it just magically worked. The half an hour I spent cursing at my computer is now just another 'fond' memory. ^.^
