Good afternoon NoXPhasma,

We are sorry to hear that your controller doesn't work with Yooka-Laylee.

Could you please tell us your operating system name and version?

Are you able to get the controller set up in Steam in Big Picture Mode?

Plug the controller into your computer
Open Steam,
Select Settings,
Select Controller,
Select Xbox Controller Settings and General Controler Settings.
Make sure the device is detected and registered.
Tick PlayStation configuration Support

Launch Big Picture mode and launch the game from Big Picture mode.

We're looking forward to hearing from you

Sure:
OS: Linux Mint 19 Tara
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700
GPU: GeForce GTX 1080
RAM: 32 GB

Full Steam systeminfo: https://gist.github.com/NoXPhasma/9ed85e6b0602b656c812acd013ee121f

The controller doesn't work in this game when I add it to the Steam Controller API. I can open the Steam Overlay in Big Picture with it, but the game still won't recognize it. I tried to press any button, but nothing happens.
Hey NoXPhasma,

Yooka-Laylee would you be able to try the game on Linux Ubuntu or SteamOS as they are the only official operating systems that Yooka-Laylee is fully compatible with as described in the System Requirements on the Yooka-Laylee product page.

However, can you try running Xpad.

To install the Xpad Linux kernel driver, open a terminal and run:
sudo git clone https://github.com/paroj/xpad.git /usr/src/xpad-0.4

sudo dkms install -m xpad -v 0.4

If you need to update Xpad, simply enter the following into your command line:
cd /usr/src/xpad-0.4

sudo git fetch

sudo git checkout origin/master

sudo dkms remove -m xpad -v 0.4 --all

sudo dkms install -m xpad -v 0.4.

Get back to us when you can,

Linux Mint 19 is basically Ubuntu 18.04, just with a different Desktop, also I have no other machine around I can test on.

XPAD Is the standard xbox gampad driver on Linux and by that I'm using that already :)

Hi NoXPhasma, unfortunately, we do specify that Yooka-Laylee runs on Ubuntu and SteamOS. You may be on Linux Mint which is a version of Linux Debian and Ubuntu, but you may have package differences that may not be compatible with Steams Client.

To get the game running properly you will have to run Ubuntu 14.04 or later or SteamOS. My apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

Hello, I'm with Ubuntu 18.04.2 and I also have the problem with the remote. I have the Xbox One controller connected via cable.
I remember that when I bought the game it worked well, but suddenly it stopped working.
Any solutions?

OS: Ubuntu 18.04.2
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700
GPU: GeForce GTX 1080ti
