Report a translation problem
You start in the hub the moment you restart the game. Just like in Kazooie and it auto saves the moment you pick up a pagie, ghost or finish a quest for an NPC to my knowledge. I also think screen transitions auto save. Just look in the bottom right hand corner for the hard disk with eyes.
Obviously that's changed now, but I just want to point out that Twarda8 gave a great example of how you can manually save. Personally, when I wanted to save my progress before "save & quit" existed, I would go to options, invert a camera, and then change it back again.
This can still be useful if anyone wants to save their progress without quitting. Last time I checked, this feature was still intact. :)
