100 Pagies to beat Capital B?

Ok, I watched The Completionist review Yooka-Laylee and I have a question, do you have to have 100 Pagies total or on hand to be able to fight Capital B? It seems I'm screwed either way due to some of the Pagies being so difficult to obtain. Like Hurdle Hijinx for example, took me about 10 tries to get that. I may need to watch video guides on where some of the Pagies are that I missed in previous worlds because I want to go ahead and beat Capital B and take a break from this for awhile.

4 right now. Gonna unlock Galleon Galaxy as soon as I get at least 20 Pagies in Capital Cashino.

As soon as you grab the free move on the way to Galleon Galaxy things get a good deal easier.

The free move unlocks as soon as you get your first world four pagie.

I know, I got it unlocked, just never talked to Trowzer yet. I got pissed off at Hurdle Hijinx and just quit the game after beating it. Things better get easier, I've had enough of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ arcade games for awhile.

Well not to spoil anything but - SURPRISE, it's flight. It makes certain things like Gloomy Gem Grotto cake if you haven't tackled it already.

I already got that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sub-area done anyway. But thanks, I knew it was Flappy Flight. The long toxic sludge gap that's behind Trowzer gave it away. XD Also, want to be friends?

Just FYI: ascend is jump button, descrend is down on the joystick, and you can use Sonar Shot while flying (the game doesn't exactly tell you this, though it isn't hard to figure out). The camera isn't as busted either, it just likes to try and help you out by angling up/down while ascending/descending. It is isn't so bad as long as you know that's what it's doing.

The short answer, yes you have to have collected 100 Pagies (Total across all worlds and Hivory Towers hub) to unlock the final boss battle.

Fun Fact: 100 / 145 Pagies = 68.965%, or 69%, rounded up... lel

If you unlock and expand every Book World, it's 75 Pagies Total. And World 5 you won't be able to do a lot until you expand it, so yeah. (Technically speaking, you don't even have to play World 5 at all, but you'd then have to 83.3% the rest of the game in order to skip it altogether)

In the end, I had to look up some of the Pagies, as I was still a dozen short even after doing everything I could think of.

It 16-17 pagies per world (including the HUB that has 20 available to collect), give or take depending on whether or not you chose to get more or less from any given place.
