If everything goes well, I plan to release a demo before the October Steam Next Fest—please stay tuned!

Right now I’m doing the final polishing, debugging, and adjustments for the demo. I’ll continue developing the main game based on feedback afterwards.

The demo will include:

6 tutorial levels
1 test level showcasing the combat mechanics
A work-in-progress story mode
A sandbox mode

The combat system framework is basically done! Many new mechanisms like railgun, celestial occultation, thermal radar signals, debris cloud have been implemented. More importantly now there is a skirmish mode where I am playing/testing with bots (bots are just too hard and beat me like crazy lol.). Still much work needed to be done like UI and numeric, at least to make the gameplay easier. By the way, I decided to not include the Lagrange points though I found a easy solution to implement it. Second Round of Playtest is Live! Try the New Version Now!

Dear Explorers,

I’m excited to announce that the second round of Steam Playtest is now officially live!
Since the first test, we’ve made a lot of improvements based on your feedback and new development progress.

🆕 What’s New This Round?

🧭 Tutorial levels to help guide your early gameplay
📖 Story mode (Work in Progress)
🖥️ Improved UI/UX — for example, you can now rename ships, buildings, and asteroids
🤖 Auto-mining ships to streamline your operations
💾 Save system: multiple saves + auto-save supported
🔍 New orbital scan mechanics — targets may maneuver, and now you can actively analyze intel
⚔️ Orbit combat system (experimental, still in development)

🧪 How to Join?

Hey everyone!

First off, a massive THANK YOU for joining my Playtest! Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to help shape the game.

🛠️ What to Expect
This Playtest is far from the final version—especially when it comes to new player guidance and story elements, which are still in development. If things feel a bit rough or unclear, don’t worry—that’s expected at this stage!

💡 The Playtest will be shut down when the Demo is released (I plan for early June), and save data might be lost at that time. Please keep this in mind!

🐞 How You Can Help
I’d love your feedback in a few key areas:

Bugs & UX Issues: If something feels broken, clunky, or frustrating, let me know!

Missing or Weak Game Mechanics: Are there any mechanics you feel should be added or improved?

Numerical Difficulty & Orbital Mechanics: Since the game involves orbital mechanics, I want to balance the challenge well. Does it feel too easy or too hard? When giving feedback on difficulty, please also let me know if you are familiar with orbital mechanics (this will help me decide whether to add an in-game tutorial).

German Translation: I noticed quite a few players from Germany on my wishlist, so I’ve added AI-translated German. If you speak German, please let me know if the translation is accurate or needs improvement!
