Mafia III: Definitive Edition

I will give Mafia 3 a chance
I got the trilogy and loved the first two episodes. I know this one is not the most appreciated episode of the series. Every review seems to mention the repetitiveness of the 'gameplay loop.' I have just finished the first introductory mission; it's great, but from what I understood, that's the only scripted mission. Then there is kind of a loop about owning city areas. Is the last scripted mission the final one? Are there DLCs bringing more scripted missions to the game? I was planning to go through 2-3 loops, jump to a DLC, and maybe download a save somewhere to go directly to the last mission. A bit like making an edited, shorter version of the game.

FWIW, I liked 3 the best of the trilogy, tho there are a lot of bugs. They're fixable with mods and stuff, tho. There's def a gameplay loop, but there's enough variety to them that it's not that bad. You can also go about most missions in a few different ways, like stealth or carpet bombing or somewhere in between. Some of the building designs are annoying, and I'm not a fan of taking car health out of player health, but it's not horrible. Look at the Steam guides and check Nexus for fixes, because this game needs them.
The one advantage to this version is that the city and it's surrounding area is open to you at the start. The "Stones Unturned" DLC brings you and Donovan to a Caribbean island to stop a rouge former CIA agent from selling a nuclear warhead. "Sign of the Times" pits you against a satanic cult and "Faster Baby Faster" has you teaming up with the daughter of 'The Voice' to steal evidence of crimes by the local county sheriff for that area. Each DLC also provides you with additional weapons, clothing and vehicles. In addition two of the DLC's give you bounty hunting missions and a marijuana grow operation that earns you additional cash.
