Son dos juegos total mente diferente en cuanto a mecanicas, gráficos y jugabilodad. pero la verdad aunque gta siga sacando actualizaciones al día de hoy es que es un juego que salió en 2013/14 ace 2 años masomenos así que yo diría que no se pueden comparar

I like mafia more too because I dont know it is more a realistic game and the city looks more real I hope that mafia 3 will be nice like mafia 2 with a big map and a fantastic story

Its already happening, people thinking this game should or will be in any way shape of form like GTA. If it turns out to be like one, its not a Mafia game.

im gonna go with Mafia 3 since well Gta v.
1. it took like 2 years for a port to pc.
2. story is so short
3. Well i like mafia idea more and i enjoyed mafia 2 more than gta.
4. i dont think really this can compared with gta. its like comparing gta with ac syndicate.

I played beat and enjoyed GTA5, but that's the past so I want new open world gameplay. I would hope that it will be good on its own merit, so that way we get another awesome game to enjoy.
Oah and it you start a sentence saying "I'm no racist but.." you should probably just stop and delete whatever subliminally racist thing you were going to finish it with.

First of all, I think its just not right to compare GTA 5 and Mafia, even when first game was released, it was more about style, story and atmosphere, while GTA (those times) was more about open world and sandbox. I cant even remember myself or someone I know played Mafia outside storymode context) If you need to compare, you'd better pick L.A. Noire. Rockstar work too, positively masterpiece, and almost the same casual open world. I love it, for sure, and I'll get 100% someday, but, despite of good idea with random events (developed and improved in GTA V) it was just hard and fatiguing, I cant even explain why. So, now we got great, lovely story in GTA, perfect characters - this what Mafia 3 can try to reach or even outdo) But GTA would not be beaten anyway, because it's also offers multiplayer, which Mafia will include unlikely. Moreover, I hope, that they will not try to do it, cause it will surely do harm to the rest of the content and would be raw and unplayable, cuz of 2 reasons: developers just dont have any experience in this spere and second - they also cant afford all of the stuff, Rockstar can.
BUT. Czechs can film not good porn only, they can tell you an exciting story and you WILL LISTEN to the end, forgetting to smoke or eat, fully engaged into characters fortunes and misfortunes. Even, if there is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ impossible race in the middle of the game, which you cant complete for days, you still would try, despite of the fact you hate racing at all)
So, Mafia could came with another fabulous story, and it will be enough not to ruin it by some catastrophic gameplay/technical mistakes to be successful) I just watched CG video on the game's page and got horripilation at couple of moments, really impressed) Of course it means absolutely nothing about game itself, but I think it proves, that crew knows how to make you feel and believe. I hope, this knowlege would make a story touching and unforgettable, like L.A. Noire, Wolf Among Us, Max Payne 2, Walking Dead Season 1 or same old GTA V (where it is not very complicated, but just well cut).
I dont know why trailed didnt impress you, maybe you just not think about family in this way, and this subject dont responds in your soul. Maybe you're just young and it doesnt care you enough yet. And its okay, not trying to abuse you, I just realized you joined steam at year I passed exams into university) Dont mind. I cant speak for all of russians, especially for those sort of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded kids you can easily meet, launching Dota 2, but for the rest of us - people dont have anything about races, skn color, sexual orientation (here, I should admit, big percent of sane people could be untolerant, unfortunately. Ecpecially elder generation.), so, if you read some disturbance - it based not on race and skin solor, it caused by stupid tendention in movies production and games industry to force every race character into any setting, any movie or game. Like those american journalist, which complained, cuz there are no black people in Witcher 3. God, cause there was NO BLACK in Slavic lands those age! It's not a racism, racism is this "black guy - check" policy. So, it wont be a real problem, they may complain, but it just a reaction to long list of political correct changes, that weren't really justified (johny of fantastic four tanned overmuch, that spineless guy from Star Wars also there was a talks about another spider-man remake, where he will be black gay, I dont really know if it is true). But all this comlainmant wouldn't matter, if their story will be decent. There's so much characters we love without even noticing skin color! Blade, Michonne, Spawn (in this case its very easy not to notice ^_^), Major Payne for god's sake!) We like also black comedians, without any preferance to whities: Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Reginald D Hunter, Kevin Hart, Wayans brothers, David Chappelle, Eddie Griffin, Bill Cosby - all hilarious bad-asses) I cried on final scene in Walking Dead Season 1, like a lil beaten ♥♥♥♥♥, when Lee... You know, who played, no spoilers for others. But who doesn't?
Honestly, i realized, that main hero is black just after reading your message and double checking video)
Reconing up all i wrote here - we are not a bunch of racist savages, even when it looks like) We just used to be staight and honest, even about subjects, which are maximal delicate and defended by political correctness and, moreover - laws.It doesnt mean we're abusing everyone on sight, our moms teached how important to be polite) But we will never make any noise with a questions like "Why Academy Nominates All White Actors for Second Year in Row?". Cuz tried not hard enough, fools! Go congratulate Leo DiCaprio and clam down. I'm pretty sure this is what many of americans think, but cant say. Sad, especially noticing the fact, that there are no racism here, just honest thought. Finally, it's okay if you make main character black, no problem, just do one simple thing - show us, that this was done not only for "check". Then you would possibly got problems just with some crazy extreme racist nazis)

A good post, did not want to quote everything again but good post all the same. I am looking forward to Mafia 3 because we don't have many games at all that cover late 60's early 70's Vietnam Era, so I wan't to see all the cool touches they add for the time period, just like in Mafia II how it had many things to tell you it was the 40's WWII Era. Also I think the main charecter is supposed to be a mix, like half black half white.

You mean the Dominic Toretto way? No, I surely haven't thought about family that way and I hope I never will. And how many times do you have to listen to "All Along the Watchtower"? Wasn't there any other great songs in the 60s? I mean, seriously, watch that trailer once more, it's cliche'd and unoriginal as hell)

Second af all - if you WOULD have watched a gameplay video, you would know that GTA is a pretty accurate comparison this time (or even more like Saints Row). Not L.A. Noire for sure - LAN was actually serious and thoughtful and original and stylish, and all of those things are a huge question mark in M3 (well, it won't be serious for sure, and I'm 90% sure it won't be any of the other things). You can forget about the first Mafia - they are distancing M3 from it as far as possible, looks more like using a well-known name to sell any bs they'll make.

With the type of "bang/boom Michael Bay" butchering gameplay they chose even the greatest story will look like farce. Oh, and about the story - can't really find the info about who's writing it, but Haden Blackman - the head of development - is some sort of star wars fanfiction/comic book writer, which doesn't really make me certain that he can design and/or write a crime drama.

And yeah, I'm russian, don't really know about all the racist stuff you guys have read on the forums (but there is plenty of it in the English-speaking threads too), but people are really pissed off mostly because it seems like someone at 2K/Take-Two made like all the stupidest decisions conserning this game's direction (in the artistic aspects, I mean - it can still make money, what do I know about business? Seems like there are a couple of people who don't know any better than to buy it).
