Mafia: Trilogy Announced
Play Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition today when you pre-order Mafia: Trilogy.

The newly announced Definitive Editions of Mafia, Mafia II, and Mafia III invite you to live the life of a gangster across three distinct eras of organized crime in America. You can own them all as part of Mafia: Trilogy, which is available for purchase now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam, and will be coming to the Epic Games Store at a later date. Stadia versions of Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition are also planned.

The centerpiece of Mafia: Trilogy, Mafia: Definitive Edition, is a complete overhaul of the original game that was released to widespread critical acclaim in 2002, and improves on the beloved classic in every way imaginable. Rebuilt from the ground up by Hangar 13, it’s a faithful but expanded 4K- and HDR-ready remake that not only makes dramatic improvements to the original’s visuals and gameplay, but also builds upon its award-winning narrative and adds new features like motorcycles and collectibles to the 1930s city of Lost Heaven. Mafia: Definitive Edition will debut on August 28, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on its own and as part of Mafia: Trilogy.

Mafia II: Definitive Edition—a lovingly remastered version of the 2010 fan favorite with greatly improved visuals and audio—and Mafia III: Definitive Edition are available starting today, and come complete with all of their respective story add-ons as well as a host of other bonus items. Note that if you already own Mafia II on Steam, you will be automatically granted Mafia II: Definitive Edition at no additional cost. Furthermore, if you already own Mafia III on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or Steam, you will be upgraded to Mafia III: Definitive Edition at no additional cost.

If you preorder the digital version of Mafia: Trilogy, you’ll get immediate access to the Definitive Editions of Mafia II and Mafia III so you can play them while you wait for Mafia: Definitive Edition. If you opt for the physical Mafia: Trilogy, which is available to pre-order in select regions, you’ll receive all three games in August.

Pre-ordering either Mafia: Definitive Edition or the Mafia: Trilogy will entitle you to the Chicago Outfit bonus pack, which includes the Smith V12 limousine, Gold Semi-Automatic Pistol weapon skin, and The Don outfit for use in Mafia: Definitive Edition when it releases on August 28, 2020. As a Mafia: Trilogy owner, you’ll also gain access to loyalty bonus packs that add the following protagonist outfits and vehicles from each Definitive Edition game in the Mafia: Trilogy to the other two games:

Mafia: Definitive Edition - Tommy Angelo’s suit and cab
Mafia II: Definitive Edition - Vito Scaletta’s leather jacket and sports car
Mafia III: Definitive Edition - Lincoln Clay’s army jacket and muscle car

Furthermore, if you sign up for a 2K Account and link it to the platforms where you own Mafia: Trilogy games you can unlock these bonus items for each game:

Mafia: Definitive Edition - Black Cats Motorcycle Pack
Mafia II: Definitive Edition - Made Man Pack
Mafia III: Definitive Edition - Classico three-piece suit & IL Duca revolver

Mafia II: Definitive Edition will be automatically granted to all existing owners of Mafia II on Steam at no additional cost. All existing Mafia III owners on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam will be upgraded to Mafia III: Definitive Edition at no additional cost. Customers who own a combination of titles will receive special discounted upgrade offers to complete their trilogy.

Themes of family, power, and respect are a constant in the games of Mafia: Trilogy, but the protagonists’ motivations run the gamut from simply wanting to belong to unrelenting greed and a need for revenge. Whether you’re a newcomer to the Mafia series or a longtime fan looking to revisit these celebrated crime dramas, we hope that you’re as excited to play Mafia: Trilogy as we are to have broken our code of silence and started talking about it.

Check back for more information on Mafia: Definitive Edition in the coming weeks.

Definitive Edition's are definitive... Well, actually not. Pre-order, registry - blah-blah-blah... for each game.

New extended music and story for M1. How about old music for old story game (Mafia 2002 DLC for Mafia 1)?
Rebuilt from the ground up by Hangar 13
You think they deserve 40 USD by copy for their work? Im serious, publisher think that they deserve to work on 2K after "65/100" by corrupted critics (and true 38 by players) even for consoles versions?

No new features from Mafia 2 (improved M1 gameplay), no old features from Mafia 1. That is Mafia 3. Stupid game even for casual consoles players. Cops more stupid than in GTA SA and GTA 5. In GTA 5, Carl! How can they do Mafia 1?

How about old music for old and\or new Mafia 2 versions? Any updates?

And main think... For getting every content do i must buy New Trilogy bundle?
Mafia: Definitive Edition - Tommy Angelo’s suit and cab
Mafia II: Definitive Edition - Vito Scaletta’s leather jacket and sports car
Mafia III: Definitive Edition - Lincoln Clay’s army jacket and muscle car
if so - where it is? I must buy it on 2K or some other sites? Where is old Steam Trilogy bundle?

UPD: founded on
http://www.2k.com/en-US/blog/mafia-trilogy-announced if go to mafia site -> buy - choose trilogy Steam cd-key. I suppose it be available directly on Steam? Old bundle removed just half a hour ago and new one just not created yet?

Why do the devs hate us so much?

All we did was buy their games.

Update: Trilogy store page available
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/464953/

Steamdb show only 1 new DLC (unknown app) for Mafia 1. As shown by steamdb all content DLCs must be available (except restricted Mafia 1 2002 DLC with old music). Still dont get it what an exclusive pre-order DLCs for Mafia 2 and Mafia 3? Maybe it must be enough to registry+subscribe to 2K?
Cant see any 3d party CDkeys as well...

This Trilogy sub package contain tech app for JP version pre-order and do not have Mafia 2 Classic app:
http://steamdb.info/app/50409/subs/
Must be 50130
http://steamdb.info/sub/464953/history/?changeid=8480154

Japan version itself still not available after music removed in 2016:
http://steamdb.info/app/50400/ Not in GOG store too.
http://steamcommunity.com/app/50400
Same for Retail Japan for Mafia 1.

If i want to buy "Mafia Trilogy", it tells me that i cannot, because i do not own "Mafia II (Classic)".

Wich is correct. I do not own "Mafia II (Classic)" but why would this be neccessary anyway?

You cannot buy actually DLCs for Mafia 2, cause Mafia 2 not included right now.

Your transaction failed because you are trying to buy 'Mafia Trilogy' which requires ownership of 'Mafia II (Classic)'. Please correct the error and try again. wtf.

I am also getting this message, any known fix yet?
Bendy52 May 19, 2020 @ 3:53pm
I understood that Steam package of the trilogy has a glitch where it dont include for now at least the original Mafia 2. which confuse the store when getting the new trilogy since they include DLCs which cant detect the original game and therefore getting crazy. lets hope Steam will fix it soon.
ok then, guess we'll just hang in there and wait till the fix comes

It is still saying the same for me, I need Mafia 2 classic to buy the trilogy.

Tried removing and re-adding the trilogy to my cart, same thing.
