Damn, bro! What a naive way of thinking. Every leader in this game rule by the violence. x) I say more, every leader in every movie or the game about criminals rule by the violence. In their world it's a good representation of leadership. You should try to put yourself in characters shoes before you start to judge them.
I see things and it forms my opinion. For example, Cassandra's profile says that she is not to be trusted and will betray Lincoln once their agenda's are no longer consistent.
Thomas burke - the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Vito - this is the guy that should be in charge. he has the credentials and the contacts to make this work.
These 3 people have no incentive to work under Lincoln any more than they need to. They are also all very independent and don't come off to me as satisfied with being the underbosses.
"But with the right crew, tough decisions and some dirty hands, it’s possible to make it to the top of the city's underworld. "
"A NEW FAMILY ON THE ASHES OF THE OLD:
Build a new criminal empire in your own unique way by deciding which of your lieutenants you reward, and which you betray…"
Additionally, half way through the game there is no indication that he is going to kill marcano and walk away.
The game though has different endings, and if you... ---SPOILER----
...choose to keep with the crime life, there is a video showing how Lincoln expanded big time all over the southern partts of the country. Lincoln is clearly inspired by real life Frank Lucas or even Frank Matthews and to be honest is all good but in the end of the game you should have some mansion, bodyguards, all that sort of ♥♥♥♥ that makes you feel on top. Instead, as you said, you just look like those Underbosses lackey.
It would have been WAY better if instead of Haitians, Lincoln had his own black mob associates (members who survived Marcano attacks) to sit on the table and back him up and more diplomacy involved with the Irish and Italians.
The ending is also crazy, I think Leo Galante would never talk to Clay, he would of talked to Vito instead and Vito would be recognized as an official family of the Commission.
That guy is certainly manipulated by someone..
I know well some Mafia real guys and they're not so smart at all or boss cariccatures..Just humain on the bad way bad time in wrong place at the bad momentum. lol
Clay is spec ops.. operate in dangerous area and not a badass person with a good withe american culture, he's smart enought for the story and for me he's sup than poor old Vito..
Lamar :p good joke!
Clay look like American black latino, not like african.. he's just in a good place in game lol
I think he meant Lamar because he has the criminal ambition of making money from that lifestyle while Clay intentions are mostly revenge.
There have been people with his characteristics in real life running things but they don't last. "Poor old Vito" types though make it longer, not saying Lincoln isn't smart but the game doesn't make him feel that way.
If you ever played the Godfater games, especially Godfather 2, that's a game that makes you feel like you are actually running something,
If Lamar was the "hero", I would not have bought yet.
