That is your pc? mabye your airflow is ♥♥♥♥ or what ever you are using, but that not the game 😉

what is with you people blaming the game for your cooling issues. even on unlimited framerate and no vsync my gtx 1080 ACX stays 66-67 C. with vsync it sits at just over 60 C. my oced 4770k is running below 60 C the whole time even with just an older Corsiar A70 air cooler.

IT was just a question. if any one else had a problem with overheating bcs of this game.. i may need some new cooling, it seems.... just wierd, it got so bad so fast.. so i tought it was bad optimizing or something like that

Even a badly optimized game cant push your hardware beyond its maximum load. It overheats because your cooling cant handle your hardware, period.

Ok, thx for the answers!:)

Well, it does kind of make sense. When the game was capped at 30 fps, the game wasn't using your GPU to the max. When going up to 60 fps, your GPU has to struggle a lot harder to get all the work done, and that makes it a lot warmer.

You might want to take a look at the GPU and check if it's covered with dust and if it is, try and clean it as it might help with the heat.

Agree.

Im running 15-2500@ 4.1ghz,GTX 980, 16gb ram.
At 60fps my card runs about 10*c more than at 30fps and my CPU goes up a small bit but never over 55*c and my cpu cooler isnt all than really. Running a Cooler Master n512...I think thats what its called.

But I also need to clean the dust out, havent done it in almost a month and half.

Yes. Don't listen to the other people saying it's your pc. My CPU temp is fine running something like Rise of the Tomb Raider which is more demanding than this ugly game yet Mafia 3 will bump up my temp 20 degrees. So the devs have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in coding somewhere. Since Mafia 3 which is less demanding than ROTT and shouldn't heat up hardware that much and I have liquid cooling for people saying it's on my end and I can guarantee I know alot more about computers than you guys.

Its a bad port.
No other game heats up my PC like Mafia 3 does.

i bought the Cooler master V8 , and 8 more rams.. and now its running just fine at 49 celcius(?) yeah.. so now i can run it.. but i have played alot of other games, that seems better then this "graphicly" and i have never had the problem of overheating.. :S im not an expert on computer stuff, but it seems like a bad port, og something. Anyways! i finished the game, and it was a blast! still think mafia 2 is better tho.. but great story :) Thx for feedback guys:) (sorry about the bad english , im norwegian)

From what i read from http://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/mafia-3-pc-performance-analysis/ it's down to the game using both the CPU & GPU heavily. Ye people with better rigs will run it better but with me rocking a Kraken X-61 my CPU is hitting 70-80 degrees, this was higher (80-85 degrees) until i recently purchasing the X-61. I think we're just going to have to put up with this or abstain from playing until either our rigs are upgraded or a patch is introduced that someone lessens the impact upon the CPU.
