Best way to split districts?
Hey guys is there any ideal split for the districts? Do some underbosses do better with certain districts and are some districts worth more income than others?

It really doesn't make a difference, other than the free upgrades/ weapons you get now and then. Tickfaw Harbor for example unlocks the first 3 car upgrades aswell as giving you one of them for free, depending on the assigned asset. the other two are buyable at the arms dealer.

So what I like to do is, to mainly use natural borders (rivers), instead of splitting, for example, Downtown and Frenchward up. that kinda looks neat on the map.

Another thing I try to do is combine the rackets to its most plausible asset, like for example Downtown's blackmailing to the italian mafia and Tickfaw Harbor's car theft to the irish mob. That just kinda makes sense imo.. :claptrap:

Yeah no difference really, but I assume if u wanna do all of the side missions cassandra, vito and burke offer. U must give each one 2 districts.

I personally went; Cass Barclay, Frisco, Bayou
Vito; Downtown, Frenchward, Southdowns
Burke; Tickfaw Harbour

I did it like this because I consider Burkes progress path utterly useless. It has nothing good to offer...

haha funny how opinions differ: I feel the very same way, but about Cassandra. I find that Voodoo doll thingy to be useless, same weapon upgrades. I'm doing alot of sneaking, but even when not, I never actually need more firepower, Vitos health benefits are more than enough imo. Burkes upgrades however can be very helpful, especially the ability to stop the cops is VERY neat, for example when I just murdered a bunch of people and then see one of those random vehicle objectives! Just pop the skill and get that mofo :3 ;)

I guess the more valid questions is, does assigning districts differently affect the game at all, APART from the perks you get. Will not giving a district to someone cause them to act out against you. Or can i do a checked pattern for all they care.

As long as you give every underboss at least 1 district, no, it doesn't affect the story at all. If you however totally neglect one of them, they're supposed to "turn on you", whatever that means, I haven't tried that myself.. I can't really imagine you'd lose everything from that underboss though, I mean the game's kinda pointless without Cassandras arms dealer, isn't it?

I recommend you don't split districts. I know getting two upgrades at once can be tempting when taking over your fourth district, but you lose that upgrade as soon as you assign the district to someone else. I recommend, for the early game, to pick a district for Vito, and claim it, only for Vito, having the cash pickup car also pickup your tribute earnings for you saves you loads of time. Plus you get a really good silenced pistol out of the deal, which makes for fewer tac-vest purchases.

Just finished the game yesterday, and well, I don't know when exactly those side missions get unlocked, but even though I only gave 1 district to Cassandra I eventually unlocked her fourth side mission. That was just befor the very last mission, where you had to kill Sal.

See right now I want to do it like this:
Cass: Barclay, Bayou
Burke: Frisco, Tickfaw
Vito: French, Downtown, Southdowns

but right now it will only let me take southdowns, frisco, and frenchward so im worried that if i end up giving vito frenchward and southdowns and burke frisco that cass will turn on me before i get a chance to give her bayou

THAT is exactly what I did, and no, like I said earlier, if you give every underboss at least one district, you'll be fine.:)

EDIT: as Dr. Pancake pointed out you can't actually own bayou totally overlooked that. so like I said further down you'd have to go and decide whether you wan't Burke or Cass to have 3 in total :3

sry, but no, it won't. You will still miss 2 perks for each of them. + that looks kinda meeeh on the map imo, since you'd have to go for Cass in Southdowns, or in Frisco :/ TG | TheSquirrelKing's distibution really is the best imo, since you'll only miss the exploding zemi (I mean who even uses that? O.o), the reload speed upgrade (idk not really necessary imo), the increase in Switchboard operator from 2 to 10 mins (only really used that for sentrys, but even then, 2 mins is more than enough!), the quiet occupied car theft (sounds kinda neat, but then again, you can always just call yourself a ride ;/) and last but not least giving the police dispatcher 10 instead of 5 mins (and again, 5 min's is A LOT! especially since it does not have a cooldown, so if you'd really need more time, just buy it again :3(same goes for the switchboard operator btw!)).
