How do i destroy weapon crates?

So im on this mission titled "barklay mills, the dead stay gone" and i am unable to destroy the weapon crates that have a small explosive icon on them. im not sure if i can complete this mission unless these crates are gone as they contribute to the damage total in money you have to do.

If anyone knows how to destroy these crates, or complete this mission please let me know.

Keep hold of E next to it. If that doesn't work then your bullets are blanks. Speak to your arms dealer, he's ripping you off.

not getting an E prompt and i know my bullets arent blanks cause i went to another mission of the same color and whatnot and killed about 30 guys.

im also having this issue, the patch mentioned by OP didn't fix it for me, and there was another patch yesterday which also didn't fix it.

actually as soon as the 1.01 update came out i was ablt to shoot the crates themselves which kinda schploded.
