How to swap weapon spots when using the arms dealer?

it only equips the weapon for a particular slot, i wanna change the slot to equip another weapon

You only get one long gun and a sidearm, plus thrown weapons. What you buy will replace whatever is in the slot it would go in ( buy a shotgun it will go in your long gun slot, a pistol goes into your sidearm slot, etc)

i cant replace the shotgun slot. when i try it keeps both shotguns or a pistol and a shotgun. i cant unequip the shotgun already equipped

I know there's a couple of short shotguns the game considers one handed/sidearms. Maybe you have one of those?

same problem, seems like another bug, everything was fine before, it came with recent update

Hey, I found out a work around: the weapons you current have must have been bought at the arms dealer for you to be able to swap.

Example: I bought a sniper rifle but during combat I was out of ammo so I grabbed a dead guy's shotgun. Later on I called the arms dealer and I couldn't change back to my sniper rifle. So I bought the least expensive shotgun. Only then was I able to change back to the sniper rifle.

Also don't forget the sawed-off shotgun is a sidearm.
