Why do yu want 144hz if you cant get more than 55 fps on low?
MadAsAHatter Oct 13, 2016 @ 6:33am
I got a 150hz g-sync screen. The game doesn't even reach 60 fps on my 1070. So.... bump against the wall.

Your nvidia card already supports that.

Nvidia settings > Manage 3d settings > Preferred refresh rate > Highest available

Because - tearing !

One of frames per second, the other is refresh rate. On 144hz monitors, the game switches the monitor to 60hz, and on that u have tearing, mo mater the fps u have.

something wrong with your system.

I have a 144hz monitor and the game runs at 100 fps. no tearing either (gsync)

LMAO I am pretty sure 60 Hz (sic) support would be welcomed for most people. :steammocking:

Yeah something is wrong with my system al right. :))

I use fps caps in any games. For this title i use 75fps. So on 75fps at 60hz there is tearing. Probably at your 100fps at 60hz (since the game forces any monitor to run at 60hz) u don't notice any flicker, because the fps is too high.

the game doesnt force 60hz....not sure where you got that idea from? you get tearing above your monitors resolution, why in gods name would you let it run unlimited fps (and not 60) to and run above your monitors refresh rate? you need to enable vsync or fast sync

Use unlimited frames for the FPS cap and turn VSync on, if your monitor has a 144hz refresh rate then that'll be the FPS cap, keep in mind what VSync is, it's just an fps cap for your refresh rate.

Some people need to understand that FPS is not equal to refresh rate. And games have the power to change both.

Here's the problem:

While running fullscreen the game forces your monitor to 60hz from 144hz. Having an fps of 144 would be pointless if your monitor settings are forced to 60hz.

I hear CRU works if you're willing to delete all the other resolutions and refresh rates since it'll force the game to use the only one available. This did not work for me and left 60hz for some unknown reason.

got any proof of that claim? i have unlimited fps selected in game, both my software FPS monitoring and my built in monitoring software (part of my predator monitor) both report the game refreshing/fps at 80-100. with the refresh rate matched (gysnc 144hz)

When launching in full screen I go to my monitor settings(built in) and it reports running at 60hz. When on desktop it reports 144 because that's what I set it to in the windows resolution options. The game ignores this and defaults to 60hz.

weird, mine all reports 144hz as normal, maybe something in the background of your settings causing it?

I'm bored so I'll just throw some images around to help understanding.

It seems to be hit or miss.

I understand fine, I'm saying it must be an issue your end, as mine DOES run up to 144hz
