[FIX] MAFIA III crashes when clicking start on launcher & .dll errors

Ok I don't usually post but this issue ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me off and it felt like I'd discovered a gold mine once I solved it.

Now the reason it crashes when you click "Start" On the launcher is because you have two missing files msvcp140.dll and vcruntime140.dll


If you're running a 64 bit system like i am

Download both the 32 bit one and the 64 bit one
Need winrar to open the files

Go to Computer > Local disc: C> Windows > System32
(PLACE ONLY THE 64BIT MSVCP140.DLL)
Go to Computer > Local disc:C > Windows > SysWOW64
(PLACE ONLY THE 32BIT MSCVP140.DLL)
Might ask you to over write, do it.

I also had vcruntime140.dll error after I had solved the msvcp problem, funny that a new .dll error arose after i had just finished the msvcp one. Same Install method as the msvcp140 error. 64bit vcruntime140.dll goes into system 32 and the 32bit one goes into syswow64

Right click the two "download" links in red writing and open in new tab and it will automatically start the download

P.S. if you have 32 bit system you just install ONLY the 32 bit versions and place them into system 32 folder in windows. really simple

Netframework cancer for lazy devs libraries.. hahaha, yep, make sure u have all necessary files.. but it's not linked particulary with Mafia3.

Agreed. I had to install that netframework sh1t from the microsoft website. Too many pre requisites that aren't linked with the game. Pretty stupid when you have to download so many external files.
